A relaxed way to express your pup’s personality, these double-layered “triangularish” bandanas are custom-cut to fit the contours of a dog’s neck. Say goodbye to the awkward bunching of “off-the-rack” folded squares -- just tie and go! Handmade in Guatemala, washing machine safe.

Sam & Nala bandanas are available in three sizes:

Small - neck size up to 14 inches

Toy Poodle, Yorkshire Terrier, Chihuahua, Maltese, Miniature Pinscher, Dachshund

Medium - neck size up to 19 inches

Pug, Shetland Sheepdog, Cocker Spaniel, French Bulldog, Pointer, Cattle Dog, Australian Shepherd, Boxer

Large - neck size up to 24 inches

German Shepherd, Malamute, Collie, Doberman, Golden Retriever, Labrador

The best way to size your pup’s neck is by using a soft measuring tape.  If you don’t have one of those handy, simply measure their collar. If your pup is between sizes, we suggest you size up.

“The Goods”

Artisan Weave

These casual bandanas begin their journey as new fabric that was hand woven by members of a women’s cooperative in the highlands of Guatemala.  We work with the artisan weavers to bring their art and imagery to the fabrics we use. We then take these custom fabrics to a small family-run sewing shop outside Chichicastenango, Guatemala to transform them into wearable fun for your pup. By setting their own wages and prices, weavers and sewers have the opportunity to express their creativity while carrying on the tradition of weaving and earning a fair wage.

Heirloom Weave

We work with local buyers familiar with community markets to hand-select classic heirloom handwoven fabrics.  We then take these fabrics to a small family-run sewing shop outside Chichicastenango, Guatemala to transform them into wearable fun for your pup. These durable weavings are enjoying a second life, thanks to the artistry of women, whose efforts and contributions are not forgotten.
